Well, we had our latest sonogram on Wednesday. We were pretty excited knowing that this could be the day that we learn the sex of the baby, and we weren't disappointed.
The good news is that all markers for birth defects are negative, Darci is finally feeling better, the baby was active and healthy. It's pretty cool and comforting to see and hear the heartbeat and we got our first glimpse of the peanuts face.
Yes, we did determine the sex, but are waiting to disclose that information until we are back in KC for Christmas. Once we get home and tell the family what's up we'll post the latest sonogram picutures and videos.
Almost halfway there...

My First Official Post
Just to prove that this blog is actually sanctioned by the co-creator of this baby-to-be, I am making my first post.
We took the peanut to see The Nutcracker last night - hopefully the first of many holiday theater events. Thursday will be the Radio City Christmas Spectacular - and hopefully by then, I'll know whether my plus one is a prince or a princess.
Stay tuned...

Next Sonogram Wednesday!
Darci's next sonogram appointment is Wednesday and should be able to detect the sex of the baby. So, assuming the peanut isn't too shy our next blog update should announce if it's a boy or a girl. Only 4 days to go....

It's Official!
We've been cautiously waiting to make any sort of announcement - but after today we feel pretty good! Darci is officially pregnant and due May 15th. We had our last sonogram before the 20 week mark today and everything looks great. Darci is feeling pretty poopy still, but hopefully that should be passing soon as she moves into the second trimester.
Here are the sonograms - you can kind of see him or her waving in the first picture. The kiddo was really active, moving and kicking and waving all the way through.
Here is one of baby waving -- you can just make out the hands.
Here is a profile shot.
And one more...we think this is the least clear of the bunch, but maybe you see more than we do.
